First off, tell us a little about Kassatex and why it was started!
Kassatex was founded by Ernesto Khoudari in 1999 in New York. Coming from a family in the textile business for generations, Ernesto began the company with a single towel. We are now a bedding, bath, lifestyle, hospitality, wholesale, and private label company crafting collections that are environmentally and socially conscious in design.
What sets Kassatex products apart from others on the market?
Kassatex is synonymous with elevated craftsmanship and comfort. Constantly working with mills worldwide on new techniques to create the utmost in cozy collections to organic options, bamboo blends, and pushing the limits to how to work in materials like resin alabaster, and porcelain, customers, both retail and consumer, have been trusting Kassatex with the perfect finishing touch for decades.
How did you know Pepper Home was a good fit for a collaboration?
We have very similar audiences in that interior designers are a large part of our consumer base as well as the interior designer that lives in all of us. The DIY shopper feels that instant gratification when purchasing products that elevate their every day. Can you tell us a little about the materials used in the Kassatex x Pepper Home collection?
The collection is crafted from beautifully absorbent 100% cotton and made in Turkey. Inspired by Pepper Home’s classic Georgia botanical print, these soft towels and bath mats feature a delicate floral embroidery. Adding to the charm, each colorway seamlessly pairs with Pepper Home’s shower curtains and wallpaper for a look that will make you want to linger in the tub a little longer. Best part? The bath towel, hand towel, and washcloth feature a sewn in hanger loop.
Which colorway would you choose to design your dream bathroom?
I would start with the Georgia Floral Print Towel and Bathmat Collection in the sand colorway and pair with the Ginger Sand wallpaper and add a fun shower curtain in flour with a light pink trim. Our Luna bath accessories would be a touch of pink that would round out the design.
