9" Rails vs. 11" Rails

Base Construction: Slat vs. Platform
When deciding on the base construction for your bed, consider whether you prefer slat supports or a platform. Slat supports require a box spring, while platforms do not. Choose slats for mattress height customization, or a platform for a clean, designer look.

A Note on Box Springs
All of our beds are designed to be used with a box spring or a platform. Keep in mind that mattress height is personal—consider your preferred bed height and ease of access when making your decision.
