Tell us a little about yourself and where the idea for Petite Keep came from!

Hi there! I am Lindsay, the Founder and CEO of Petite Keep, and we are SO excited and honored to be collaborating with Pepper Home. A little bit about me … my husband and I have four little girls and are due with our fifth baby in May! We live in Saint Louis, the city we both grew up in and eventually found our way back to after a decade plus living across the United States. I launched Petite Keep in 2020, truly out of a personal need and an interest to see if there were others that felt similarly. After the birth of my second daughter, I searched high and low for a classic keepsake box to store the meaningful keepsakes, handwritten cards, generational baptismal gowns, prized preschool artwork, etc. that continued to come my way. I searched high and low and came up empty handed, thus, Petite Keep was born!

For those new to the idea of a keepsake trunk, what are a few of your favorite ways to use the trunks in your home?

Each and every day our PK customers send pictures, write emails, and tag us in Instagram posts that amaze us on how they are using their Petite Keep trunk! We often see our trunks as a focal piece in nurseries displaying special mementos, frequently they are used to hold favorite books or stuffed animals (temporarily!) in an aesthetic manner, and one of my all time favorite use cases is when we see them at baby and bridal showers to hold guest favors, programs, cards, etc. as they truly become a part of the core memory and then later can be used as a home to all the details from the milestone moment.

How did you know Pepper Home was a good fit for a collaboration?

I have long been an admirer of all things Pepper Home! Their focus on design, quality, and relevancy is parallel with our intention at Petite Keep, so bringing together our brands for a limited edition launch is such a perfect fit!

At Pepper Home, personalization is key, and Petite Keep has brought that same sensibility to the tradition of memory keeping. Can you tell us a little about the customization process for each trunk?

Personalization is at our core at Petite Keep - no two trunks are alike! Our customers choose from over 20,000+ customizations and our Missouri based team hand assembles each and every trunk upon order! We swoon at the combinations that come through our warehouse, and honestly, daily we are surprised and delighted by a new take on PK that our customer has dreamed up.

We hate to pick favorites, but which pattern and trunk are you eyeing from the Petite Keep x Pepper Home collaboration?

Nearly impossible to pick a fave, as our mutual teams have done such an excellent job curating this collaboration, but Emma Lavender in a Pink trunk will be the perfect Mother’s Day gift for my mom who has always been a purple loving gal! Grandmother trunks are some of my favorites to see come through our warehouse (they have some of the most storied and generational keepsakes to tuck away!), and our collaboration with Pepper Home is the perfect design elevation to gift to our Nana!
