Our embroidered pillows will add extra personality to any room of your home in a snap—and they make for great giftables, too! Below, we’re sharing all of the steps you’ll need to take to design a custom embroidered pillow that will add instant pep to your or a loved one’s space.
Step 1: Choose Your Pattern, Trim Style, and Pillow Size
It’s time to get started designing your embroidered pillow, and first things first, you’ll want to pick a pattern, trim style, and pillow size. Choose from any of our solid or printed Pepper patterns; if you wish to order swatches to evaluate a fabric more closely in person, you can certainly do so!
Next up, you’ll want to choose a piping style to complement the pattern you select, whether you opt for timeless piping, funky fringe, or sweet pom poms. Once again, you can easily order trim samples to examine at home before making a final decision.
Lastly, you’ll need to determine what size of pillow you wish to order. Choose from a variety of square pillows (18, 20, or 22 inch), or order a Euro sham, bolster pillow, lumbar pillow, or XL lumbar. Not sure which size of pillows are best for your space? Step 2: Select Your Embroidery Style
Whether you choose to monogram your pillow or customize it with the phrase of your choosing is entirely up to you! Adding a monogram, initial, or full name to a pillow is an excellent option for the traditionalist, as this look will truly never go out of style.

No matter which route you choose to go in terms of customization, you’ll need to select a font style that reflects your desired aesthetic. Whether you’re adding a monogram or phrase to your pillow, you’ll have the ability to select from four distinct fonts that range from classic to more whimsical.
Note that our four text styles can be used in all caps, all lowercase, or title case. As long as your name or phrase is 15 characters or less, it will fit on one of our embroidered pillows perfectly!

Step 3: Pick Your Embroidery Color
With so many colors to choose from—we offer 15 in total—you may have a difficult time playing favorites! Do you want to go bold with cherry red or opt for something a bit more subdued like pebble gray? Note that many people wish to coordinate their embroidery color with their pillow piping for a classic, streamlined look, and this is easy to do here, given that our embroidery is available in the same colors as our trim. Prefer to mix and match different hues? To narrow down the best embroidery color to use, take a look around your space and assess which colors are most dominant. This will ensure that your completed pillow will fit into the room seamlessly when it arrives at your doorstep.
