Say hello to cheerful Hayes! Our newest fabric features an embroidered design and is available in two colorways, Sea Salt and Coral. If you’re looking to add a bit of pep to your home, Hayes is an excellent pick. Below, designers share how they’d style the fabric for maximum impact.
Go All In With Orange
Paige Dick, the founder of Paige Designs, envisions reupholstering a bed frame or end of bed bench in our newest velvet, an orange colorway called Autumn. “The warm orange tones and plush texture add a cozy yet sophisticated feel,” she says. Then, she would weave in oversized Euro pillows or a long bolster pillow made from Hayes Coral, including velvet piping “for extra texture and elegance.” Lastly, the designer would use the same Hayes fabric to create custom lamp shades for the room. “Pair these fabrics with crisp white linens and gold or brass accents for a polished, timeless look,” Dick says. “This mix of velvet and embroidery is an easy way to elevate any space!”

Get Coastal
“To me the Hayes fabric screams ‘Coastal Grandma’ in the best way possible,” says Liz Kirby, the founder of Surf Road Interiors. “The print reminds me of a more modern version of the cozy afghans I saw thrown over my Nana's sofa when I was a kid.”
Kirby, whose firm is located in a coastal Maine town, appreciates working with blues and greens. “I would love to use the Hayes Sea Salt fabric as an accent chair in a bright and sunny seaside cottage,” she says. “To keep it modern, I would choose a light wood chair frame with the Hayes as the seat and back cushion, or for a more classic look, a barrel swivel chair with a light wood base.”
Design A Sweet Nursery
Lisa Simopoulos, the founder of Simopoulos Designs, would love to bring Hayes Sea Salt into a nursery. “I would love to see it incorporated on a footstool or a cornice accented with the Powder Pom Pom over a window with Sea Salt Solid Velvet blackout drapes,” she says. “Beatrice Embroidered fabric would be the perfect finish in this scenario—I’d incorporate it onto a lampshade.”

Go Bold in a Girl's Room
Older kids will appreciate the bold combo that is Hayes Coral and Cosmo Solid Velvet. “I envision both being used in a little girl’s bedroom,” says Meghan Jay, the founder of Meghan Jay Design. She would use the velvet on a window seat cushion alongside Lilac Velvet Piping, while opting for Hayes Coral window treatments. “Both fabrics feel playful, yet sophisticated, and the Hayes' pop of lavender feels feminine, but not overly girly,” Jay says.
