First off, tell us a little bit about yourself!
I am a wife, mother, and lifestyle blogger. I have an affinity for all things old, like our 1924 colonial home, blue and white, and traditional home decor.
What was your design vision for the dining room?
I wanted a traditional look that stands the test of time. I didn’t want to have to redo this room in a couple years. I filled it with things I’ve always loved–lots of hints of blue and white! The subtle block print on the shades of the chandelier and the Alice curtains, which make a wonderful bold statement, all tie into the flower blue plates I have hanging on the wall. Both my table and my buffet are from thrift stores. I really love mixing old with new!
What drew you to our Alice pattern?
The design feels fresh but still traditional.
Not every window is the same, which is why we offer custom curtains at a length that works for you. How did you decide what curtain length to choose?
Since we have an old home, really no window is the same. All of our windows were handmade, and there are variations between them all. I loved using the curtain calculator to figure out just how high I wanted them to go!
How did you decide which construction type was right for your space?
I just love pinch pleat, and I think they look great in a dining room!
We’re obviously all about accessorizing! Tell us a little bit about your curtain rod choice!
I used a Crate and Barrel brass french return. I have them in a couple spots in my house, and I just love them!
