Designing a Dreamy Nursery with Namesake

Designing a nursery is tons of fun, and there are plenty of directions you can go aesthetic-wise, whether you’re drawn to colorful prints or appreciate softer neutrals. We’re sharing some nursery design schemes featuring some of our favorite Pepper products paired alongside new cribs and dressers from nursery retailer Namesake. Read on to check out three different nursery concepts, each catering to a unique design style.

Nursery 1: Coastal Calm

Whether you actually live by the water or just wish you did, you can create the most charming coastal-themed nursery for your little one. Blues, whites, sands, and greens are the name of the game here. Start with Namesake’s Eloise 7-Drawer Assembled Dresser in the French Sage and Performance Sand colorway. Play off of this soft green by papering your nursery walls in Serena Sea Salt. Then, hang up our Sage Custom Curtains with light blue pom pom trim. This whimsical touch is perfect for a child’s room. On your glider, add an 18 inch square Denton Custom Pillow to enjoy a little pattern mixing—bonus points if you customize it with Baby’s name, and make it pop with our Midnight thread. All of these pieces will be able to grow with your kiddo over time—nothing here is too baby-specific!

Nursery 2: California Cool

Bring some West Coast flair into the nursery with these sunny, natural picks that prove neutrals are by no means boring. Pair Namesake’s Eloise 4-in-1 Convertible Crib in Honey and Performance Sand with our Ginger Sand Clay Coated Wallpaper. The playful print is gender-neutral and timeless. Next, bring some additional texture into the space with our Oat Custom Curtain. It’s made out of a tweed-like fabric; the texture will pair wonderfully with the woven fabric detailing on the crib’s headboard. Keep in mind that these cribs are built to last—they convert into toddler beds, daybeds, and full-sized beds depending on your needs over time. Every nursery needs some cozy pillows for parents to lean against while rocking Baby to sleep, and why not bring some velvet into the mix? Our Walnut Velvet Custom Pillow complete with a cream fringe is going to make your little one’s space look extra chic.

Nursery 3: Sweet and Girly

If you appreciate a matchy matchy look with a bit of a twist, you’ll fall in love with this nursery that features Namesake’s Marin with Cane 6 Drawer Assembled Dresser as well as the Marin with Cane 3-in-1 Convertible Crib, both in the Warm White with Honey Cane colorway. Since these pieces are simple in hue and style, they can really shine alongside any color scheme. We particularly like how they look with some of our peppy pinks, like the Daphne Rose Clay Coated Wallpaper, which is decked out with peacocks and wildflowers. As this wallpaper is busier in design, we recommend pairing it with a solid curtain, such as the Mauve Velvet Custom Curtain, which reflects some of the colors in the print. Adding blue rick rack to the curtains is unexpected and ties back to the wallpaper once again. Pair it with the Mauve Velvet Custom Pillow in a bolster size, complete with cadet blue pom poms.
