We love seeing how McKenzie Fussell warmed up her living room with our Suzy Sand curtains and cream tassel trim. Combining hand-painted palms with a classic scallop pattern, Suzy is a modern spin on art deco pattern making. The playful scale and soothing shade make this design feel elevated and universally appealing. Follow along to see how McKenzie paired the neutral print with a grasscloth wallpaper to create a welcoming space for her family!
What was your design vision for your living room?
Our living room has big windows with a great view of the trees around our home. I wanted to let the view from the window do the talking so I went with a neutral color palette with lots of texture. The grasscloth wallpaper plays well with the Suzy Sand drapes! From there I pulled in floral patterns on art and pillows and lots of blue and green!
What drew you to our Suzy pattern?
I felt that the pattern was timeless but anything but boring!
How did you decide which construction type was right for your space?
I am a sucker for a pinch pleat and appreciated the formality this detail brought to our living space! It’s a 1919 home so traditional construction was important.
We love how you paired Suzy Sand with cream tassel trim! How did you choose which trim to go with?
This was a tough one! I ordered a few samples but landed on the cream tassel because it reminded me of a favorite pair of earrings! A little jewelry for our drapes!
We're obviously all about accessorizing! Tell us a little bit about your curtain rod choice.
I chose a lucite rod with antique brass hardware. Love the juxtaposition between the modern style rod and the classic silhouette of the drapes!
